Bed bugs are found in increasing numbers of hotels, motels, dormitories, homeless shelters, hostels, cabins and personal residences throughout the United States and Canada. The N.Y. Post in May of 2008 reported bed bugs in and around benches at subway stations in the Bronx and Manhattan, and one straphanger in Brooklyn had a bed bug crawling on her clothing in the region of her buttocks.
